For only a few weeks in the spring, the bluebells bloom in the Hallerbos forest and make a purple carpet under all the trees. We had heard it was amazing and it did not disappoint!
There were many hiking trails (and many people) and it was fun to explore the forest. We hiked about 5-7 km that day in the breathtaking forest of bluebells. The smell was amazing, but the ambience was even better. So calming even with all the people and the natural beauty left us with a great appreciation of the earth and area we are blessed to live in.
Eventually, we just stopped taking pictures because it wasn’t even close to the real experience. If you want to see some professional photos that are MUCH closer to what it actually looked like, visit this Hallerbos Website.
A beautiful day in the Hallerbos Forest. I’d recommend this place to anyone during the month of April/May!
Another MUST see during this time of year is the tulips in Holland. See our Keukenhof Tulip Gardens pictures here!
